Q1: How much are the donations? And from
where did these donations come from?
A: Until now the donations received were $ 200561.00. These donations are collected from
generous people of Fuhies, their relatives, and friend in Jordan and overseas.
Q2: How much were the expenses of the project? And
how they have been spent?
A: The expenses were $ 214881.00 and were spent on the following six stages of
the project:
1) Preparatory stage: in which basic sketches, blueprint maps of
the project, publishing a flyer about the church restoration, photographing, signs making
and advertisements.
2) Constructional stage: in the church interior, which includes
the protection of floor tiles by gypsum, removing the old plastering and making a new one,
undoing the old asbestos and building up the roof's new cement and steel beams. The
scaffolding, roof tiles, building the Gypsum board, electrical works, wood works,
painting, building a new sacristy, maintain the old windows and adding new aluminium ones
from outside, the altar, the marble and stones works, covering the church pillars with
stones, adapting the air condition system in the church, labour's wages and supervision,
wages of architects, stained glass of the altar and tabernacle.
3) Building a new residence: in the school campus for the
convent's workers and caretakers in order to make the correspondent rooms of the church
basement useful.
4) Reconsideration of the rooms in the church basement to become a
school library.
5) Exterior works: which were which include the dressing of the
outside wall and the boiler chimney with stone besides other exterior works in the grave
yard next to the church.
6) Furnishing: which includes church tools, which have been
bought from Rome and lately delivered to us. New custom-tailor clothes made at the nun's
workshop in Zerqa, the altar furniture, and confessionals.
Q3: Is there a financial shortage in the project
and what is the expected at the end of the project?
A: Until today, the recent deficit is about $14320.00,
which is the difference between the figures mentioned in Q1 and Q2. The expected deficit
at the end of the project might reach $30985.00. This entire shortage consists of falling
due payments for the contractors, the remainder cost of the stained glass is $4000.00 JDs.
New Sunday and hymns books $ 8450.00, maintenance works of the paintings and sculptures
$1830.00 …etc. at the end of the project -God's will- we will submit to you a list of
account prepared by the engineering company which has supervised the project.
Q4: What are the things that delay the church
restoration and stay unaccomplished so far? When will the opening of the church be?
A: We are waiting for the stained glass of the altar and tabernacle from Lebanon.
The painting of the seats, and other finishing. Since two weeks, mass is held in the
church for the school students -standing- because the seats are still in maintenance .At
the end of April -God's will- and Easter ceremonies will be held in the church. (
Catholics in Jordan celebrate Easter according to the Orthodox Church calendar on May
5.2002).
Q5: Can we expect a formal ceremony for the
inauguration of the church?
A: Absolutely! We are now making connections with His
Beatitude Patriarch Michel Sabbah and His Excellency Mgr. Salim Saygh, expecting that the
inauguration will be held in a great ceremony under His Beatitude's patronage at the end
of May and the beginning of June. The mass will be followed with a reception, and
invitation cards will be submitted to the donors of the church project.
Q6: Let's go back again to the financial deficit
mentioned in question 3. How would you overcome and finance this shortage?
A: Fuheis people and their beloved ones had
approved their love and generosity through the church project. We could finance $
200561.00. until now and hopefully we will be able to collect the rest of the money
required which is $30985.00. I believe we will not face any difficulty, so the donations
still accepted, and we don't worry to fulfil a project blessed by God as well as our faith
in the generous people of this dear country.

أين وصل مشروع ترميم الكنيسة؟
حتى تاريخ 28/3/2002
س1: كم بلغت
التبرعات للمشروع؟ ومن أين أتت هذه التبرعات؟
ج: بلغت التبرعات
حتى تاريخ كتابنا هذا 142399 دينارا. وأتت من كرماء
أبناء الفحيص وأحبائهم وأصدقائهم في الوطن والمهجر.
س2: وكم بلغت النفقات حتى
اليوم؟ وعلى ماذا أنفقت؟
ج: لقد بلغت 152566
دينارا، وقد أنفقت على المشروع في مراحله الستة،
وهي: 1) المرحلة التحضيرية: وشملت عمل المخططات
المبدئية ورفع المبنى على الخرائط وطباعة كتاب حول
الترميم والتصوير ولوحات إعلانات. 2) المرحلة
الإنشائية داخل الكنيسة، وتشمل حماية البلاط
بالجبص، نجف القصارة القديمة وتنفيذ القصارة
الجديدة، فك الاسبست القديم، تركيب جسور السقف
الحديدية الجديدة وجسور الإسمنت، الطوبار،
القرميد، تركيب سقف الجبصين المعلق، أعمال
الكهرباء، بناء السكرستيا، المنجور، الطراشة
والدهان، صيانة الشبابيك القديمة وإضافة شبابيك
الألمنيوم من الخارج، الهياكل بما فيها من رخام
وحجر، تلبيس الأعمدة بالحجر، تطوير نظام التدفئة
في الكنيسة، أتعاب الإشراف، أتعاب المهندس
المعماري، الزجاج المعشق للهيكل وبيت القربان 3)
بناء سكن جديد في حرم المدرسة لعمال الدير لغاية
استعمال الغرف التي في تسوية الكنيسة 4) إعادة تأهيل
الغرف التي تحت الكنيسة لتغدو مكتبة للمدرسة. 5)
الأعمال الخارجية وتشمل تلبيس السور الخارجي
ومدخنة البويلر بالحجر وبعض الأعمال الخارجية
الأخرى في منطقة القبور. 6) التأثيث: ويشمل أدوات
الكنيسة التي تم شراؤها في روما وقد وصلت إلينا
مؤخرا، الملابس والأزياء الجديدة من مشغل الراهبات
في الزرقاء، أثاث الهيكل وكراسي الاعتراف.
س3: هل هناك عجز مالي في
المشروع وما هو العجز المتوقع في نهاية المشروع:
ج: العجز الحالي
الحاصل حتى يومنا هذا يقدر ب 10167 دينارا وهو الفرق
بين الرقمين الواردين س1 و س2. أما العجز المتوقع في
نهاية المشروع فقد يصل إلى حدود 22000 دينار . ويتكون
العجز الإجمالي من دفعات مستحقة للمتعهدين، بقية
ثمن الزجاج المعشق 2840 دينارا، ثمن كتب جديدة كتاب
قراءات الآحاد والترانيم 6000 دينار، وأعمال صيانة
الصور التماثيل 1300 دينارا...الخ. وفي نهاية المشروع
سوف نقدم إليكم إن شاء الله، كشفا محاسبيا سيقوم
بإعداده محاسبو الشركة الهندسية التي أشرفت على
المشروع.
س4: ما هي الأمور التي تأخر
إعادة افتتاح الكنيسة وغير المنفذة للآن؟ ومتى
سيتم إعادة افتتاح الكنيسة؟
ج: ننتظر وصول زجاج الهيكل وبيت القربان
من لبنان، دهان بنوك الكنيسة، وبعض التشطيبات
البسيطة الأخرى. منذ أسبوعين نقيم الصلاة لطلاب
المدرسة في الكنيسة ولكن وهم واقفون فالبنوك تحت
الصيانة . إن شاء الله ستكون الصلاة جاهزة
للاستعمال في نهاية شهر نيسان ، واحتفالات الفصح
ستتم بإذن الله في الكنيسة.
س5: وهل سيتم تدشين الكنيسة
في احتفال رسمي؟
ج: بكل تأكيد!
ونجري حاليا الاتصالات مع غبطة البطريرك ميشيل
الصبّاح وسيادة المطران سليم الصايغ. ونتوقع أن
يكون ذلك في احتفال عظيم تحت رعاية غبطة البطريرك
في نهاية أيار أو بداية حزيران. ويلي القداس حفل
استقبال . وسنطبع بطاقات الدعوة التي سترسل
للمتبرعين في مشروع الكنيسة.
س6: لنعد إلى العجز المالي
الوارد في س3، كيف سيتم تمويله أو تدبير أمره؟
ج: إن الفحيص
وأحباءها قد اثبت قدرتها وكرمها في هذا المشروع،
وقد غمرنا الناس بسخائهم، وكما تمكنا من تمويل 142399
دينارا حتى الآن سنتمكن بإذن الله من جمع بقية
المبلغ 22000 دينارا . واعتقد أننا لن نجد صعوبة في
الأمر. وعليه لا يزال الباب مفتوحا لمن لم يسهم بعد
إن يفعل ذلك، ويقدم لله مما وهبه الله من مال لوجه
الله ولبناء الكنيسة. فلا داعي للقلق في مشروع
يرعاه الرب ويحرص على إتمامه شعبنا الطيب الكريم.
س7: والسؤال الأخير، هل
نستطيع الآن زيارة الكنيسة والاطلاع على معالمها؟
